VISITING PALMA

Palma does not need any presentation!
Let me give you some ideas…

Getting into Jaime III, head for El Borne, la Lonja district and straight up to the Cathedral! Then immerge yourself into the “casco antiguo”, the ancient town, and get lost in its tiny, elegant, historical streets….look for “Literanta” library and get a nice cup of coffee, or look for the extravagant “La Sifoneria” where to have your glass of local wine on drought (in the evening).

Choose your local dish at midday in the market of Santa Catalina, Plaza de l’Olivar (fried codfish recommended!) or at the San Juan market (till late in the night!).

Palma Cathedral, one of the finest example of Gothic art in Spain dated back to 13th century, this magnificent building is definitely worth a visit.

Rent bycicles in Paseo Mallorca and start the biking trail that flanks the sea all the way to S’Arenal…and come back!

After visiting the magnificent and colored Plaza Mayor, heading for Plaza Cort, Plaza Santa Eulalia, Plaza Coll then diving into the shopping area of Calle Sindicat as far as the Avenidas, where modern Palma is located

Starting with Es Baluard Contemporary Museum, then getting into Jaime III and El Borne to do some shopping, heading up to La Rambla as far as Calle San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, ending in Plaza Santa Eulalia for a “siesta” in some nice bar in front of the majestic church!
